Tonight for dinner we had Mexican casserole. While I was making it Teah kept ripping chunks off the block of cheese. Finally I told her she would have a time out if she did it again. She abruptly left the kitchen, but soon returned to tell me that she wanted a time out. I told her she could have one if she wanted. She went in the dining room and sat on the floor for about 15 sec. She the returned, telling me she had had a time out and that she now wanted her cheese. She succeeded in getting me to laugh, but not in getting cheese.

Will sit for cheese

NOT FAIR!!! You explained cause and effect and she was just being efficient by cutting to the chase; affecting cause.
