Hueco Tanks - Again

This past Saturday there was a Heuco Tanks interpertetive fair, so we decided we would spend the day and go out to that.

The kids got to try throwing spears using atlatls and try using native american style drills. They also had other kid friendly activities including sifting through sand to find bones or a similar archology set up to find broken pieces of pottery. A Utep archology professor was also flint napping and the kids watched that for a bit.

They had various cultural performances including dancing, druming and chanting.

But of course the main highlight was getting to climb around a bit more.

What is flint napping. I notice Xander is still practicing the tongue thing.

That all looks like a lot of fun. The one shot of Zander looks a lot like Manu.
