Another day in the life

yesterday morning Zander woke up at his usual time, 6:15. I got him out of bed and started changing his diaper when he decided to pee all over me and the bed. I am normally pretty quick now and haven't gotten sprayed in awhile, but I just don't move as fast at 6 am.

I don't know if anyone else tried the smashed cauliflower recipe Juliet emailed us all awhile ago, but I make it occasionally and it has the texture of creamier wet mashed potatoes. Anyway, I made it the night before last and we were eating some for lunch yesterday. Teah decided to use her hands to eat, so as you can imagine, they were covered. Then she went to brush her hair out of her face and I said "Teah don't." She stopped, looked at me, smiled and started slowly moving her hand toward her face. Once again I said "Teah, do not." She paused, started moving her hand away but quickly decided against it and started moving her hand toward her face, grinning with her eyes fixed on me. At that point I said,"Teah, do not wipe you hand on your face." With this she got a huge grin on her face and smeared the smashed cauliflower down the side of her face and hair. Janae was just saying something to me about girls having a defiant streak. I have no idea what she was talking about. Good luck Juliet. Charles told me I should take pictures of when she is naughty, because those are the funny was that you enjoy the most in years to come. This probably would have made a good picture, but I was to mad to think, "I should take a picture now."

This is so funny to me. TAKE THE PHOTOS! Some of our funniest photos are from when the kids were being "bad." We have one of Chase, age two, with an entire tube of my new lipstick all over his face. Truly, a nice self portrait. We have one of Call sitting in the middle of the bathroom floor...an entire roll of T.P. all over and around him that he'd spun down onto the floor...AND he has one que tip sticking out from each ear. He had fun going through the bathroom that morning. Anne Marie thinks your gorgous kids look European. I just think they could be on the cover of any magazine. Geez they are beautiful. Love to you...Marie
