Christmas

We hope you all had a Merry Christmas this year.  We certainly did.  It started with picking up my mom and Michael from the airport.  Followed by an enjoyable Christmas dinner and finally the story of the nativity.

Teah was Mary, Xander was Joseph and Marama was the sheep.  Nana was the angel, but we don't have any pictures of that.

And then there was Christmas morning.  The kids each got a gift from Santa and then there were two bonus gifts.  A piano for the kids to share and nerf guns for the family.

The kids really enjoyed the piano

And the other kids really enjoyed the nerf guns

We then closed the evening with our traditional Christmas dinner and a brief recap of why we have Christmas.

We all had a wonderful Christmas, even though Teah did declare that it was the worst Christmas ever because she got shot in the face with the nerf guns by her brother a couple of times.  I think she also declared she was the poorest kid ever because of it and her life was so sad.  Of course I may be getting my story crossed and she makes such declaration on a fairly regular basis. She can get just a bit over dramatic at times.

Other entertain story relating to the nerf guns happened a few days later when we went to the library.  The librarian ask the kids if they had gotten Christmas presents and Teah excitedly declared they we even got a family present.  When the librarian ask what it was, Teah enthusiastically declared, "GUNS!"  The slightly taken back librarian was quick on her feet with the response, "Well I guess you will be well protected then."
