Happy Birthday Marama

It's hard to believe it has been a year, but our baby girl is growing up.  Of all our babies she is both the best eater and sleeper. She loves playing and laughing and has a surprisingly developed sense of humor for her age.  These qualities along with her beautiful dark eyes and features often have us referring to her as our little Polynesian.

The evening of her birthday we all got to enjoy a Daughtry concert at one of the on base parks sponsored by the Air Force Reserves.  The kids had a great time playing at the park with friends and Marama enjoyed rocking out until she crashed.  The following day we took a trip out to white sands, which consists of miles of pure white (gypsum) sand dunes, with some friends.  Unfortunately it was pretty windy, but the kids had fun rolling around in the sand, sledding down it and just being kids. Then we finished off the day with cake.  I will have to hit up my friend who is much better about taking pictures than I am for pictures of the concert and white sands, but I did take a couple of pictures of the traditional first cake.

Here are a couple videos showing how far she has come in the past year

Happy Birthday Marama! Your kids definitely move earlier than mine. The boys and Marama are probably at the same walking level.

Happy birthday to that sweet little girl. Time goes by so fast she is doing a great job of walking and bouncing. Sounds like a fun day for her birthday.
