Oh Man!

For her birthday we decided to get Teah a little bike. She was very impressed with the dora bike especially since it came with backpack. However since the bike without licensed characters was two thirds the price we conviced her to get that one and I told her I would make her backpack. I wasn't exactly sure how I would do it, but I had a purple shirt that I had in a give away back, some thin vinyl left over from an earlier project that I used to line the backpack and give it shape (which was by far the hardest part), and acrylic paint for the face. If you look at that inside you can see how messy the sewing is, but I was rather impress how it turned out from the outside. Of course any Dora enthusiast knows that I still need to add the side pocket and map. I will probably do that tonight in between tutoring. Of course as Teah is not the only Dora enthusiast in the family, the introduction of a Dora backpack has caused quite the contention - OH MAN!

The backpack looks really great! The video is very cute, especially Zander's part at the end. (By the way, I am beginning to get the feeling that he never wears a shirt.)

I showed Marilyn this video and her grinning response was "Again". (And again. And again.)
